Sentence
Sentence is a group of words that makes a complete sentence. Single word denotes different meaning but when all the words are joined then they make a complete sense and convey the thoughts of a person.
In our daily conversation and writings we use sentences to convey something
to the listener or reader. In other words, sentence is a combination of words
that makes complete sense and it contains a main idea.
For example:

There are basically three types of sentences.
1. Simple Sentence
2. Compound Sentence
3. Complex Sentence
Kinds of Sentences:
There are five kinds of sentences.
1. Declarative or Assertive Sentence
2. Interrogative Sentence
3. Imperative Sentence
4. Exclamatory Sentence
5. Optative Sentence
Simple Sentence
Simple sentence is that type of sentence that
conveys a single thought, and it consists of only one clause. It has one main idea, one clause and it has one subject and one predicate or
only one finite verb. See the examples below for better understanding:
Compound Sentence
Compound sentence is a type of sentence that conveys more than one thoughts and consists of two or more co-ordinates clauses. It has two or more main ideas or two or more independent or main clauses.

Complex Sentence
Complex sentence is the type of a sentence
that consists of one main clause and one or more subordinate clauses. It has one main idea and one or more dependent ideas or it has one main
clause or one or more dependent clauses. See the examples below:

Declarative Sentence
Declarative sentence is a sentence that makes
a statement. It is also knows as assertive sentence. A declarative sentence is divided into two types:
a. Affirmative or Positive Sentence:
It is a sentence that gives a positive statement.

Interrogative Sentence
Interrogative sentence is a sentence that asks a question. For example:

Imperative sentence is a sentence that expresses an order, request or advise. For example:

expresses a strong or sudden feelings. For example:
