How To Invite Others In English?

We often invite our friends and relatives on parties, dinners or on any special occasion. Inviting others and accepting others invitations increases love between each other.



You may like to use following expressions while inviting, accepting or declining others invitations:

1. Inviting Others

a. I would be very pleased if you join us for……..
b. Please accept my invitations for………
c. I’d like to invite you for……..
d. Are you free to come………….
e. Would you care joining us for………..
f. I feel honored to invite you on……….

2. Accepting Invitations

a. Thanks, that’s very kind of you……..
b. What a great occasion, sure I will……..
c. I’ll surely be there at……….
d. I’m honored, thank you indeed……….
e. With all my pleasure, yes………..
f. That sounds to be a nice idea………..
g. That sounds lovely………..

3. Declining Invitations

Sometimes you require declining an invitation for any reason. It is very important to be polite and possibly give a reason for it.

a. That’s very kind of you but actually……….
b. Oh, unfortunately, I have…………
c. I’m really sorry, I shall not be able to……….
d. I’m afraid I’ve already…………….
e. Well, I’d love to but actually………
f. I regret that I shall not be able to accept…..(written)

A: I’d like to invite you on the marriage ceremony of my son.
B: What a great occasion, I will definitely be there.
