Comma
Comma is a sign (,) that indicates the shortest pause within a sentence. It is an interval without speech.
Happiness, like any other emotion, is short lived.
Comma Rules
1. The comma is used to separate nouns, pronouns, phrases, etc or items,
names in lists.
Sybil, Barney, Allan and George have passed.
The nation cannot progress, to tell the truth, without education.
2. Comma may not be put between the last two words joined by "and"
when the words or items are separate.
We play basketball, tennis, golf and rugby.
3. The comma is used to separate words explaining nouns or pronouns or
to separate clauses.

to do justice. (in this sentence, comma may or may not be used before 'and the
power.')
4. The comma is used while addressing someone.

5. The comma is used while separating clauses.

6. The comma is used to separate the reported speech from the
reporting speech.

7. The comma is used with certain adverbs like however, meanwhile,
anyway etc.
We were tired. However, we continued the journey.

8. The comma is used in dates, letters, etc according to the occasion.
